Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, signaling a renewed push toward economic expansion, industrial development and agricultural cooperation. The understanding emerged during a high level meeting in Islamabad between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, where both sides emphasized the importance of sustaining momentum in bilateral projects. The discussions reflected a shared intention to deepen long term economic ties and ensure that key infrastructure and development initiatives under CPEC continue to move forward with greater efficiency and coordination.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the significance of China’s consistent support for Pakistan’s economic stability and development efforts.
